Notapipe

P&L Comercial

El costo de vender no aparece en tu CRM. Deberia.

Tu equipo usa diez herramientas para cerrar un deal. Ninguna te dice cuanto cuesta cada cierre. Notapipe si.

Every company has a general P&L. Few have a real sales P&L — one that shows not just the revenue generated, but the cost of generating it: the tools, the licenses, the team's time, the cost per motion.

Without that, optimizing the sales team is guesswork. You know how much each rep closed. You don't know how much it cost to get there.

The invisible problem

The sales stack has a cost. Nobody measures it next to the result.

A typical sales team uses between 6 and 12 tools: CRM, outreach, data enrichment, e-signature, calendar, communication, conversation intelligence, forecasting. Each has a monthly invoice. None appear in the sales dashboard.

The result: the sales director looks at revenue, the CFO looks at expenses, and nobody has both numbers in the same place. Stack investment decisions — do I add this tool? renew it? is it worth what it costs? — are made with a spreadsheet someone updates twice a year.

— Tools nobody uses but keep costing
— Tool investments with no evidence of revenue impact
— CAC that nobody can calculate accurately
— Headcount decisions without real productivity context per rep

Sales P&L dashboard

Revenue

  • — Closed revenue by motion, by period
  • — Active pipeline with weighted probability
  • — Projected revenue vs. target

Operational cost

  • — Monthly cost per active tool in each motion
  • — Aggregated stack cost per motion (not just global)
  • — Cost per active rep in that motion

Margin by motion

  • — Revenue generated vs. cost of generating it
  • — Trend: is the margin improving or declining?
  • — Motion comparison: which has the best operational ROI?

CAC by motion

  • — Acquisition cost calculated automatically per motion
  • — Broken down by component: tools, estimated time per stage, assigned headcount
  • — Historical CAC trend per motion

Goals vs. reality

— Targets configured by your team contrasted with actual progress
— Alerts when a motion deviates from its margin target
— Period-close projection based on current velocity

CAC

Your real CAC is not what you think.

The CAC most companies report is a simplification: marketing spend + sales spend divided by new customers. That number hides everything that matters for decision-making.

Component
What it includes
Tool stack
Proportional cost of each active tool in the motion
Headcount
Estimated time per stage × role cost
Sales cycle
How long the average deal takes to close
Conversion rate
How many leads enter vs. how many close
Pipeline churn
Deals lost in advanced stages and their accumulated cost

Why CAC by motion changes everything

01

An outbound enterprise motion may have a 5× higher CAC than inbound — but a 10× higher LTV. Without the correct CAC per motion, that comparison is impossible.

02

A B2B2C distribution motion has a fulfillment cost that a SaaS doesn't. If it's not in the CAC, the P&L is wrong.

03

If you know the real CAC per motion, you can decide how much to invest in each one with evidence, not intuition.

Benchmarks included

You don't start from zero. The benchmarks come included.

Configuring sales goals from scratch requires knowing what's reasonable for your type of operation. Each Notapipe template includes reference goals based on real benchmarks — you adjust them to your context, but you start from a sensible reference point.

Goals are created automatically when you choose a template in onboarding. They appear in the Measure module from day one.

How onboarding works →

— MQL-to-SQL: 20–30%
— SQL-to-opportunity: 50%

— CAC target: < 3× first month MRR

Operational Billing (B2B2C)

B2B2C
— Order confirmation time: < 2h
— Successful delivery rate: > 95%
— Re-order rate (retention): > 70% monthly
— Margin per order vs. operational cost

Audience

Three people. One view.
Each sees what they need.

Sales Director / VP Revenue

Revenue by motion, close projection, CAC by channel, and motion comparison.

  • — Investment decisions with real data
  • — Headcount allocation by motion ROI
  • — Which motions to scale, which to cut
  • — Deviation alerts before quarter-end

CFO / Finance

Complete sales P&L: revenue generated, stack cost, margin by motion, historical trend.

  • — For the first time, sales spend has context for what it generated
  • — Stack ROI by motion — not just total headcount
  • — Margin trend by channel over time
  • — Budget justification with actual data

Sales Leader / Manager

Rep performance contrasted with the cost of that rep in the stack.

  • — Which rep has the best productivity/cost ratio
  • — Which stages are the most expensive bottlenecks
  • — Coaching priority based on revenue impact, not just activity
  • — Ramping cost vs. time to first close

Data input

The data enters automatically.

Workers register automatically

Every active worker in a motion generates events that feed the dashboard. The Call Summary Worker logs the call. The Deal Health Scorer updates the probability. The Invoice Generator records the close. It doesn't depend on the rep doing anything manual.

Tools are connected

Stack costs are configured once when activating each integration — then they update themselves. If the HubSpot plan changes, it reflects in the P&L. If a new worker is added, its cost appears immediately in the motion where it runs.
